Petrol-only on UK HS and PHEV. Do not confuse charge port with fuel flap. PHEV HV safety applies during tank work.

If the engine was not started

Drain petrol before start; PHEV still requires petrol tank remediation if wrong fuel added.

If the engine was started

Inspect injectors and catalytic system if contaminated petrol was burned.

Access procedure

  1. PHEV: HV off per MG procedure; no charging cable connected
  2. Relieve petrol pressure; disconnect battery
  3. Access pump module from interior
  4. Drain petrol tank; do not drain HV battery
  5. Reassemble with new seals; leak test
