Misfuel risk Low

UK C3 retail line is largely petrol; misfuel risk is lower than diesel vans but HPFP damage still possible if diesel is added.

If the engine was not started

Do not start the engine; Fuel extraction and system flush; replace fuel filter.

If the engine was started

Drain tank, replace filters, inspect high-pressure pump and injectors; diesel SCR faults may need diagnosis after contamination.

Access procedure

  1. Isolate the battery and depressurise the fuel system per Stellantis service information.
  2. Remove rear seat or load-floor trim to reach the pump access panel on the C3.
  3. Disconnect pump wiring and fuel quick connectors; contain vapours (COSHH / DSEAR).
  4. Remove the lock ring, lift the sender unit, and extract fuel with approved recovery kit.
  5. Inspect tank, replace filter if contaminated, fit new seal, reconnect and prime before road test.
  6. Dispose of waste fuel via licensed carrier under Environmental Protection Act 1990 duty of care.
